The work challenges the technophobia
ingrained in science fiction narratives.The
fear of self-aware AI in traditional works
often stems from anthropocentric anxieties
about their dominance.This project instead
explores a more complex picture of
human-computer coexistence, in which
the AI is no longer the perfect or terrifying
"other", but rather a participant in society
with its own limitations and idiosyncrasies.
By observing the interactions between
humans and AI in everyday scenarios—
ranging from playful moments to conflicts,
from understanding to misunderstanding—
the project documents the emergence of a
new type of social relationship.
These ordinary and imperfect moments of
interaction reveal a critical truth: genuine
human-machine coexistence is not built on
fear or reverence but rooted in an ongoing
process of mutual understanding and
adaptation.
These "imperfections" highlight a more
authentic possibility for coexistence. This
coexistence is not founded on fear or
worship but on the continuous effort to
understand and adapt to one another.
By focusing on these micro-level social
interactions, the project aims to construct
a new framework for technological
critique: one that moves beyond concerns
about whether technology threatens
human dominance and instead considers
how to build a more inclusive network
of social relations that acknowledges
and embraces the differences between
humans and AI.
